The Great Machine Mystery
A Inventor's Workshop Adventure
A Roman statue has fallen onto a sixteen-hundred-year-old mosaic, no crane can reach it, and the rain is coming. Grandma Rosa has an unfinished machine with a label that says LIFTING WITHOUT POWER. Ollie is sure that one pulley and a hard pull will do it.

About the Inventor's Workshop series
Inventor's Workshop is a series of illustrated adventures for readers aged ten to twelve about physics, engineering and technology. Ollie, who builds first, and Amara, who measures first, take half-finished machines from Grandma Rosa's shelf and finish them to solve real problems, with a stubborn homemade robot who refuses anything unsafe. Each book delivers one science or technology topic through a machine that works by real physics, and shows what it trades.
